BMAC in Tendinopathy and Tears

BMAC in Tendinopathy and Tears

Bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) therapy treats tendinopathy and tendon tears by injecting stem cell-rich marrow into the injured tendon. This promotes tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and accelerates healing. BMAC offers a minimally invasive alternative to surgery, aiming to restore tendon function and alleviate pain effectively.

What is BMAC Therapy?

BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate) is a natural regenerative therapy that involves extracting stem cells, growth factors, and healing proteins from the patient’s bone marrow. These cells stimulate repair, regenerate damaged tendons, and reduce chronic pain associated with tendon and ligament injuries.

How Does BMAC Therapy Work?

✅ Bone Marrow Extraction – A small amount of bone marrow is collected, typically from the hip (iliac crest).
✅ Stem Cell Isolation & Concentration – Using advanced techniques, regenerative cells are separated.
✅ Injection into the Injured Tendon – The concentrated BMAC cells are injected into the affected tendon to promote healing.

Conditions Treated with BMAC Therapy

✅ Chronic Tendinopathy – Effective for rotator cuff tendinitis, tennis elbow, and Achilles tendinopathy
✅ Partial Tendon & Ligament Tears – Helps repair damaged tissues without surgery
✅ Plantar Fasciitis – Reduces pain and regenerates tissue in the foot
✅ Osteoarthritis & Joint Pain – Improves cartilage health and joint function
✅ Meniscus & Cartilage Damage – Enhances recovery in knee and shoulder injuries
✅ Post-Surgical Recovery – Speeds up healing after tendon and ligament surgeries

Benefits of BMAC Therapy for Tendon Healing

✅ Non-Surgical & Minimally Invasive – No major incisions, minimal downtime
✅ Stimulates Natural Regeneration – Uses your body’s own stem cells for healing
✅ Long-Lasting Pain Relief – Reduces inflammation and promotes sustained recovery
✅ Faster Recovery & Improved Function – Helps athletes and active individuals return to movement quicker
✅ Prevents Further Degeneration – Strengthens tendon and ligament structures
